Hi, Im trying to set up .net Nuke 4 for an existing website I have, as I want to add in some content management features.
My existing ISP claims that I can run dnn on my current hosting package (It has .net 2.0, VS 2005 on it), so before I start I just wish to check a few things.
1) As I understand it, all I need to do is to ftp all the files in the install.zip to the webroot I have been provided, is this correct?
2) At the moment, the domain name will be pointing to the web root. If I install dnn there, will I need to change the location that the domain name is pointin to? (for example, will the home page be http://www.mydomain.com/index.aspx, not http://www.mydomain.com/portal/index.aspx)
3) I am assuming that the content and pages I have on my site at present will site happily within dnn until I can convert them to modules, or will I need to make them modules on day 1 when I install?
Ok, thats it for now, though no doubt I'll have more questions a little later on today.
Cheers
Sb
