Hello All,

I installed DNN 4.4.0 today. I compared the DNN 4.4.0 modules list with DNN 4.3.7 modules list.

I saw that the following modules don't exist in DNN 4.4.0: Feedback, Gallery, Help, Store Account, Store Admin, Store Catalog, Store Menu, What's new.

Can someone explain why?

Thanks for your help

Nir

Since ASP.net loads all installed modules, for performance reasons only the most used modules are installed by default in 4.4.
You can install some of the "missing ones" manually by logging in as host.
(they are there but not installed yet)

for most of the modules listed in the original post, something else happened. It was felt that modules that do not live up to the standard of DNN, or are in the current release not quite "ready", should not be part of the core distribution. Some modules even have serious issues (like Feedback, which allows for displayal of module data accross portals)

If you need any of those modules, you can still download them through the respective project pages

A special case is the Whats New module, apparently it fell from the list, without it being available for seperate download. I made a note for Scott to look into that after he gets back from his vacation. If you need that module, you can use the one that was distributed with dnn 4.3.7

Wouldn't it be smart to add a "what's new" page (not module) with all changes / updates to every new distribution of DNN, to prevent these kind of questions...
