ok.

i have done more or less the steps described below:

1- i have created a new database in sql server named DotNetNuke
2- i have created a new user for this database with adim rights
3- i have put the folder dotnetnuke in c:\
4- i have created a virtual directory in iis named dotnetnuke pointing to c:\dotnetnuke
5- and finally i have modified the web.config file to point to the database

and thats all, i guess

i run a windows xp professional with sp2

thanks a lot
nix
