Can someone please help.  My site is completely down and I am getting the following error:

Compiler Error Message: BC30560: 'DataProvider' is ambiguous in the namespace 'DataSprings.Modules.DynamicRegistration'.

Source Error:

Line 15:
Line 16:         ' singleton reference to the instantiated object
Line 17:         Private Shared objProvider As DataProvider = Nothing
Line 18:
Line 19:         ' constructor

Source File: C:\WebSites\Christopher\localparent.co.uk\App_Code\Dynamic Registration\DataProvider.vb    Line: 17

Basically I have just upgraded from DNN 3.2 to DNN 4.3.7.  Went to upgrade the addon registration module that I bought.  It seemed to work fine, said it was success but when I pressed return I got the above error.

Please please please tell me there is way to solve this by directly editing files or something.  I have gone back to the people that make the module but I am upagainst it time wise and who knows when I will get an answer.

My hosting provider is proving no help whatsoever.

Thanks

Liz

make sure, that you delete all source code before upgrading from DNN 3 to DNN 4

Is there any way to sort this out?

My DNN upgrade worked fine.  Al I did was install a module that has royally screwed things up so that I can't even access my site.

Any ideas on what to do other than restore the site from backup.  Would it be possible to manually fix this?

Is it possible to remove a module by maipulating files?

I can't go through DNN as the site won't let me in.  I was wondering if I can manually replace files, e.g. replace files in the App_Code\Dynamic Registration dir.  Will this revert to the earlier version of the module?

yey, its fixed.  Seems I was missing a readme file that has instructions for deleting certain files pre or post upgrade to make it all work.  Panic over.
