Hi there

I was wondering if there is a special or organised way to backup DNN 4.

procedures and steps

The only thing you have to do is make a backup of the DNN folder and a backup of the database.
With that you can do a full reinstall.

Hi There

what do you mean full reinstall .. ? lets say for example my server crashed and I need to reinstall  on a new server .  What procedures would you suggest to me

Well maybe the term RE-install in not completely correct.
You would create a new folder on your new server, copy the original folders content in it, set up a new database, restore the database backup.
Check if the db user exists and has the right permissions, the folder permissions etc, like with a new install.
And that's it AFAIK.
The website should run on the new server.

Hi Timo

My  question would be as follows 
I create a new database on the new server
that ok ..  but how do I merger the old sql data to the new database.. 
( As for the DBO I can always changed the use DBO to fit the new user I create on the new server.. is this Correct..?)
