Hello Leif,

Have you checked out the links that I mentioned at the begninning of the post?

The main problem I had was due to blowery compresssion. - As well as disabling it in the web.config file you have to remove the dlls from the bin file as well.

OK, on another note - I've just restored the backup and now have the same problem as when I did the upgrade. - The main page works but if you click on any links to any pages it displays a page not found message. - Has anyone come across this?

I'm suspecting my problem is the permissions, but I never get an answer from my hosting provider till it's 2pmGMT when they come online in America, so it looks like I am going to have to wait for 3+ hours to get an answer unless anyone has any other suggestions to try in the meantime?

Thanks,

Yes it seems that this has to do with permissions.  I checked my permissions on the folder and nothing strange was visible. When the ADMIN can't see the images in the file manager on his own site there is something wrong somewhere.

Cheers

Leif

Just to let others know if they have problems with pages not displaying after upgrade, it was reset by the hosting provider:

"This is caused by the setting "verify if file exists" being enabled on .aspx and .axd extensions. This is incompatible with DNN friendly URLs."
