Hi all,

I have installed DotNetNuke on my machine which is connected to a network. How do I configure the DNS server so other users can access the system by typing in: http://intranet

Many thanks,

Skips

create an DNS Alias (CName) which points to your machine inside your dns server.

Hi guys,

I have created an alias on the dns server and also logged in as host on dotnetnuke and added the alis there as well but for some reason it does not work when you type in intranet on the browser. If i type in my machine name the following message appears:

Your Web service is now running.

You do not currently have a default Web page established for your users. Any users attempting to connect to your Web site from another machine are currently receiving an Under Construction page. Your Web server lists the following files as possible default Web pages: default.htm,default.asp,index.htm,iisstart.asp. Currently, only iisstart.asp exists.

To add documents to your default Web site, save files in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\.

but my dotnnetnuke is installed on C:Website\DotNetNuke\website

any help much appreciated.
