I'm trying to add a module to one of the host pages (DNN 4.4.1 install version) and when I log in as host I am not able to modify any host or admin page including adding a module. The same goes for when I log in as admin, I cannot add a module to the admin pages. I have done this in a previous DNN site, is this functionality now gone or am I missing something here?

AFAIK this option has never been included in DNN. The host and admin modules are added to the appropriate menus during installation and there is an option for 3rd party developers to install their modules in admin/host menu.

Sebastian,
Thanks for the reply. That's interesting though. On my last site (call it site A, v04.04.00), I was able to add the Evotiva Backup Script module to the SQL Host page no problem when I was logged in as Host. I did this manually, it was not done by the during install of the module. With the new site (B v04.04.01), I cannot do this. When I go to the host pages in site A currently, the module "Add" link in the control panel is active. In site "B", it is inactive for both Host and Admin pages. I wonder if this was a change between the last 2 minor versions? It seems odd that as host you would not able to add modules to Admin & Host tabs.

There was a change after the 4.4.1 upgrade.  I had the same issue.  Did you ever find a workaround on how to add the backupscript to the host pages in the newer versions?  I am also looking for a solution to that change.

It was possible in previous versions of DNN to add 3rd party modules to the Host Pages such as the Lists page when logged in as Host.

This was deprecated for some reason in 4.4.1?

That is unfortunate because we had used that quite a bit for modules that we wanted the Host to have access to but not necessarily the Admins. being able to add them to the Host pages was a very convenient way to do this.  This was the common place for 3rd party utility modules such as the Evotiva BackupScript module.

It would be a nice feature to at least have a page for Custom modules under the Host menu, or to allow the Host to add their own additional pages under the Host menu, even if we cannot add modules to the existing default pages under the Host menu.
