I have a DNN site that I'm attempting to set up custom pages for the 404, 403 and 500 errors.  I've created three pages FileNotFound.aspx, AccessDenied.aspx and ServerError.aspx that I would like to have DNN redirect to in the event of these specific errors.  When I change the web.config file to point to these pages DNN doesn't hit them when I force an error (I'm typing an invalid page name).

If I change the FileNotFound.aspx page to point to a FileNotFound.htm page then it works.   It's like the urlRewriting is forcing the page back to the default.aspx file and hitting that page and not throwing an error but I can't see how or where to prevent it from doing this.

Does anyone know how to set it up so I can reference aspx pages.  I'm attempting to add code that would pull in the appropriate skin based on the portal that throws the error so my error pages can be shared across portals.

 <customErrors mode="On" defaultRedirect="ErrorPage.aspx">error statusCode="403" redirect="AccessDenied.aspx" />error statusCode="404" redirect="FileNotFound.aspx" />error statusCode="500" redirect="ServerError.aspx" />customErrors>
