So I learned today that if I want to use a ROR xml sitemap (such as the one seen here:  http://www.rorweb.com/rormap.htm ), I have to place a <link ...> to it in my <head> section.

I found out also that this link *must* be in the <head>.   So that leaves only one option (I think?)...  If I want to use this sitemap method, I have to put it in my default.aspx code, cuz that's where <head> lives.

But what about my other portals?   Is the portal ID in memory by the time the <head> is hit in default.aspx?   Can I reference it somehow?

...or should I just be asking how others have done it?
