Hi all,

I have been maintaining a web application which is developed in .NET 1.1 and it has associated the DNN framework 1.9. Now the requirement is, existing app. needs to be converted into .NET 2.0 & DNN 4.4

I am new bee to DNN framework. It would be very thankful if anybody can help me out to do this task. What are the precautions needs to be taken and will there be any advantages if the existing app. migrating to new technology.

Please advice me.

Thanks

You mean 1.0.9?  This is a very substantial upgrade... if the site is not large, you may be much better off to consider manually updating content in a new install.  What can you tell us about the site you are resonsible for?  How many registered users?  How many pages?  What kind of modules are installed?  Is it hosted, or on a local server?  etc.

Yep. it's 1.0.9. this is really not a easy taks to do things manually. It's all about the software asset management tool. Currently there are many users using it. As far as the module concern, no mudlue has been used in this site.

Can you plz advice me.

The very first thing I would do would be to ensure that the custom modules will run in 4.4.1.  I'll be happy to help you work through this (there are several upgrade experts on the team *grin*), but the upgrade will be useless if  your modules won't run on it.
