My connection string works from within VWD, but does not work when I call the website from the server using IE or Firefox..
The server is a Win 2003 . The SQL 2000 database exists on another Win 2003 server.
I have made sure that Network service has permissions on the DB.

Connection String:
    <add name="SiteSqlServer" connectionString="Server=rg-enterprise;Database=ClientAccess;Integrated Security=True;" providerName="System.Data.SqlClient" />
App Settings:
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=rg-enterprise;Database=ClientAccess;Integrated Security=True;" />

I used integrated security since the db did not seem to run with SQL Login I created (The user had dbowner privledges) (I configured the DB for both Win and SQL logins).

I'm sure that this is a permissions issue, however I can't figure out what.

I appreciate any help

Alan

Ensure that you do not have impersonation turned on in your web config as that could be causing it to try to connect to the DB with your user account.

What happened when you tried to connect using the database username and password.  You did remove the integrated security node correct?

No, impersonization is not set in the web.config.

I decided to re-create the website, and somehow, it's now working, Go figure.

Thanks for the info anyway
