I am driving myelf crazy with this. It's probably becuase there are lots of ways that I could go and I can't decide which is the best road to head down.

I want a feature on my website to allow creating daily work assignments. There is a list of about 10-15 employees and a 12 or so different possible assignments. A couple of assignments like vacation must be able to accomodate a couple of people assigned. A lot of the assignments are fixed.

I'd love to be able to drag and drop the employee on to the assignment. That way you start the day with a list of employees and then drag them to their spot for the day.

In the end, I'd like to show a week's worth of assigments. Ideally the columns would actually be the individual record entry for the day and the rows would come out as the assignments. Inverted if you will from the actual databsase.

I will also need a month view for a couple of assingments: vacation and call.

I have looked at lots of commercial modules. I've looked throgh Listx, sigma pro draconis, I've thoguth about falafel web planner. I've looked at some of the community modules such as the event module.

I imagine that there are lots of ways one could approach. I'm looking for the voice of experience to get me off and running in the right direction.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
