I have a website www.totalgarage.ca which I'm thinking about moving to DNN mostly so others can maintain it and not have to know a lot about html, plus give my users a better expericence.

My first problem is with navigation, currently I have a static menu along the top and as you click on the links, it directs you to new pages which shows the same static menu, and along the LHS is a box with "new menu" items relevent to this level. 

In my new design I'm looking at making the menu structure dynamic so that it allows users to navigate right to the area they are interested in. For example...

Home
Level 0
   --- Level 1a
   --- Level 1b
       --- Level 2a
       --- Level 2b
            --- Level 3a
            --- Level 3b
   --- Level 1c

If a user selects "3a"  I would like to show a menu on the LHS that shows all the level 3 items, so they don't have to go searching again.   Now I'd like to know your thoughts on this, is this a bad way to approach it, will the dynamic menu be good enough (with the breadcrumb path)  or is this a good design plan? An alternative to the vertical menu is to show the "last level" as a horizontal right under the "main" menu.

Now I don't believe I'll be going more then 5 deep, other then perhaps in a few rare occasions. But I don't want users to get lost.

Now in moving to DNN I'm thinking of re-organizing the content so its easier to find, and I can add more information to it easily. Many of the pages are very similiar in layout, and I'd like to try and capture that escence in DNN, with a picture, list of "more sections aka sub menu's"  and then content with is a mix of text and images.  Would this best done with lots of content blocks or one maybe 2 per page? 

I have other questions but I'll post those later.
