I have been using DNN for a few years now, and of course I install a new DNN install for every site I build. Yes I know thats is not the prefered way of using DNN because it supports multible portals per one instalation. However I was never sure on how to back up an indivdual portal just in case I needed to transplant it to a different hosting provider.

Any and all information releated to this would be a great help.

Thanks,

Doug

Try Host->Portals-->Export Portal Template, and make sure to check the "Include Content" to have it all.

I posted an idea of how to clone a protal at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/108/threadid/98759/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Take a look and see if that helps.

Waldis
