Hi,

What is the best way to redirect  from one page in your DNN to another?  I've tried the Response.Redirect "http://www.yoursite.com" string inside of the HTML module, but it doesn't seem to load correctly.  Has anyone used something similar?

Do you use Oracle?  Then try GoldFish.Net

Get it from CNET Download.com!

Depending on how and why you want the redirect, there are a couple of easy ways to accomplish this.  Within the page settings, you could do one or both of these:

1)  Under Advanced Setting - Page Header Tags : put the a refresh tag.  For example, <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url=home.aspx"> which will redirect to home.aspx 0 seconds after the page is loaded.  Adjust time (in seconds) and page URL as desired.

2)  Under Advanced Setting - Link URL : this changes any links on menus within your DNN portal.  When a user clicks on the link that would normally take them to the page that you are configuring, it would instead direct them to the URL/Page/File that you specify.  I prefer this one, as it doesn't require the user to wait for one page to load before loading the one that they are redirected to.

You can use window.open('http://yourdomain.com'); as the Link URL for the page.  Then when you click on the menu, it will launch a new window.
