BTW, dotnetnuke.com's "Remember Login" is acting the same way, as soon as I log out it clears the cookie and leaves it with two anonymous user entries, and when I go back to the login page, it's not remembering the username at all.

The 'Remember me' option is only working if you just close your browser (and don't click on the logout link!!). When you then start your browser again and go back to the site you should be logged in again automatic.

If you hit the logout link, your cookie will be deleted.

The cookie for DotNetNuke.com is only valid for one day (which is just a bit too short for me).

Now I'm getting it!!!

What I was actually looking for is the remember username kinda thing, like on most websites if you click on remember me it remembers your username and prefills it when you come back next time so all you need to do is enter your password and log in. So I guess it won't work that way then, but it's good that this mystery has been solved (for me at least).

It works just the way you described it to me. I always hit the log out link to actually log out, no wonder...

Thank you,

Waldis

Yea, it'd be nice if they defaulted to a bit longer than just a day....  perhaps long enough to make it from Friday afternoon all the way to monday morning...  :-)
