I seem to have some permissions mangled.

When logged on as administrator, when I go to a page settings page, I see next to "Icon" this message:

"You don't have permission to see the files on the site"

I know that this must have to do with a file permission setting, but I can't figure out how to correct it.  I'd appreciate a pointer or three.

Did you ever get this problem figured out? I have the same problem and apparently some permission issues on some other modules which I suspect are related.

I'd appreciated if you shared your solution, if you found one, of course.

It would help to know what version of DNN you are running?  And to know if this is happening on the portal root folder or a subfolder?

there have been DNN versions (4.4.x - 4.5.1 AFAIR), where permissions granted for "All users" did not work, you have to grant permissions to "registered users" and "unauthenticated users" instead.

I am running DNN 04.04.01... I will look into the "All Users" permission. There are two symptoms, first the one originally mentioned in this email, when setting up a page, I see the message "You don't have permission to see the files on the site" nexto to "Icon". The second one is that when accesing a module for which the user has been granted View rights only the site crashes the memory footprint of the IIS process grows steadily until it returns a Timeout error; this does not happen if the user is granted Edit permissions on the module.

Thanks for the prompt response.
