I am using DNN 4.5.1  I just installed this realease and everything was going fine. I then created new pages.  Updated data.  Everything fine.  All editing functions were there and working.  I changed one page and clicked update, now I am unable to edit anything.  This happened as host user.  I logged in as admin, worked fine.  Did the same thing and now I lost those functions as well as admin.  I then created a new user, added them to the administrators group and they work fine.  However as admin or host, I can no longer edit or modify any existing pager or add content.  There must be a major bug in the source.  Anyone have any Ideas?

Look in the upper left corner when logged in as host and see if it says you are in View Mode.  If it is, change it to Edit Mode.

No that's not a thing like that : in view mode all is ok, in edit mode all the modules are there... but empty (logged as Host).

Logged as Admin, all is Ok.

I know DNN a little now since 2 years... but cannot resolve this problem.

I can send the url / password of the Site by mail to anyone who would like to see the problem.

Thanks

I had a botched 4.5.1 upgrade (problem with SQL scripts) and basically ALL perms on Folders and modules were reset.

This meant that a logged out user would see nothing (admin was fine), but a side effect was that I noticed my edit options were gone.

I went into Settings and resaved the module and they reappeared - I think the upgrade script added some new cols for user perms and failed on setting defaults, hence the reset. I ran loads of scripts to get it working again but I lost a day of work. If you are lucky you will not have the same problem as me (rolling back and establishing the error would have been a better option, if it were possible).

I also had to reset Edit perms and view perms on every single module on the site. Painful.
