Hi,

I would like to know which table and which colum i have  to look for to switch the following settings in bulk off at one time.

they are for the settings that we apply to pages.

they are

Display Container

Allow Print

and to set the visibility to None.

I expect that this is a very simple thing to do. but I would like to apply it to all the pages within my site in one go. rather then have to click into every pages modules and apply the changes manually.

thanks

You don't neccessarily need to change these settings in a table.  Login is as admin, then pick any module.  Go to the settings on that module, then go to the pages settings are for the module.  Within that section there are the basic settings that is what you are looking to change, set them the way you want them, then under the advanced settings Select "Set as Default..." and "Apply to all...".  Once you click update it should apply those settings to every module on the portal.  Not sure if you can do the entire install from the Host login, but I don't this so.  The problem here is you are using more then one container then it will change the container to the one the module is set for.  If you don't mind doing it by hand what you can do is change the settings and then select "Set as Default...".  This will prevent any future modules from being placed on a page with the settings you don't like, then you just have to change all of the exisiting modules.

I would like to hear from others on this Set As Default function. I have tried to use this for years now thinking that it might work finally. But in my experience this almost never works. When I am setting up a new site that is the first thing I try is to go into the first text/html module created when I add a page and set the default to have minimized personalization and No Print. But as I said it almost never works. And i set up a good number of sites every month with DNN.

Am I the only person for whom this Set As Default does not work?
