I've got a DNN install with a 31 Gig Database, how it got that big I do not know.  I need to delete some things to reduce the size, does anyone know what I can do to get the size down?

Most likely it is your event log table.  Try doing a

delete from eventlog

under the SQL Page, under Host.

That should clean up the log file completely.

Truncate Table EventLog

Truncate Table SiteLog

Then do a backup and zip the backup.

You probably need to shrink the database log file as well.

That only freed up 1GB.  I think i need to purge or commit the transaction log.  In SQL 2000 I would have this done as part of automated maintenece/backup but in 2005 I don't know where to access these features.  Any suggestions?
