Hello

I am unable to open admin/ host  pages or settings. (DNN 4.4.1)

I see this error message:

A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

And

An error has occurred.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Framework.DefaultPage.Page_Init(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Page.OnInit(EventArgs e) at DotNetNuke.Framework.PageBase.OnInit(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer) at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Any suggestions how this error might be resolved?

I don't know if this is relevant but I have recently moved this site to another hosting company and the DNS has only just fully transferred.

Hello

I have been searching Internet, DNN forums, Googling  etc and so far not found anybody who has been unable to open admin or host pages or settings.  Am I the only one, surely not.

I would really appreciate some help with this.

Solved 

Hello

For those of you who may be looking for the a solution to a similar problem of admin/host settings and pages unavailable and have previously assigned DNN Blue skin as default admin as I had done. 

The solution is obvious, if you think of checking to see that the DNN Blue skin has not mysteriously vanished.

 For some unexplained reason my DNN Blue skin had gone for a walk and got lost (found and returned by John Mitchell (snapsis.com)) .
