Is there an option to block entries getting into the Site Log by UserAgent? My site is well spidered, but I don't want any of those entries in my Site Log, nor do i want to see them reflected in any of the Site Log reports.

Thanks

No, you can't do this by configuring DNN without custom coding or modules.

My advice would be to use Google Analytics, and turn off the site log.

You'll have lots of filtering options and also increase the performance of your site since the logging is handled in a seperate request from the user's browser to the google analytics server.

Thanks John.

I think it would be a good addition if UserAgent data collection was configurable in the Site Log. For example, I don't really need to know that certain spiders are trawling my site. If I did need to know, I could switch the UserAgent to alow them for a few days and turn it off again. This would surely keep the size of the Log down.
