Hello,

I've tried nearly everything I can think of, but I can't get another computer on my domain (active directory) to view the DNN install on my computer. Viewing other sites works fine (ex. //mycomp/testsite) but going to the DNN directory gives me one of two things. Either:

1. identity impersonate = false. works fine on my comp, the other comp shows DNN directory as a 404

2. identity impersonate = true, both comps show "DNN Error: User does not have permission to perform this action."

Please, if anybody has any ideas, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

You have to make sure that your DNN site has a portal alias added for use with the local machine.

You most likely have one existing that is localhost/DotNetNuke, you will need to add one for myComp/DotNetNuke

You can do this by logging in as host and going to Admin -> Portal Settings

I forgot to add, I'm using IIS 5.1 on Windows XP. The database is SQL Server Express 2005, and I'm using ASP.Net 2.0. Everything is the latest version.

I have a feeling this has to do with the Web.config file, but I can't get any combination of settings to work.

Ignore my last post (if it even goes through). I didn't see Mitchel's post.

Thank you so much Mitchel! That worked beautifully. I don't know why I didn't think of that.
