I've set up a test installation of DNN 4.51 ... and put some placeholder content on a couple of pages.  The search tool does not seem to pick up any of the search terms.  This is a skin of my own design, is there a setting I might have missed for the search token?  An example of the site is here.  If you search the word "caden" no results are returned...

TIA for any answers...

:-)

Module title for Text/HTML modules are not searchable, so it's not an accurate test for the word "caden".  Try instead for the word "fella" which will work because it's in the content area.

Thanks ecktwo.

What is indexed for the internal DNN search engine and how can we tweak it?  Module titles would seem to be a fairly important indicator of relevance for search results so it is surprising they don't get indexed.

Also... can we adjust the results display at all without hacking the core?

TIA

Every module implements search differently so it is hard to tweak them all.  Fortunately, I have a free module to do exactly what you need without hacking the core and it can search all modules.  I also have a tutorial about it.
