Hi Guys,

what sort of roles does the parent portal have in a parent/child portal setup. Can the parent portal view user accounts on the child portal or share other info?

Regards, Jay

The only difference between a partent and a child portal is that the child portal will run from a subfolder

www.mydomain.com

vs

www.mydomain.com/intranet

AFAIK there is no user sync between parent and it's child portal

Hey Timo,

thanks for the response. Does that mean i can get a module to share user database info? or do you know of a module to enhance the features of having a parent/child potal setup.

Cheers, Jay

I have never used them but I know there are some modules on www.snowcovered.com.

I think it would be nice if there was an option in core DNN that would enable you to share users between parent and child portals....

But you can't AFAIK (I mean automatically)
