You are correct.   However I have google only searching my domain.... site:www.vinocellar.com

This seems a little backwards in its implementation though.    I have enabled UseWebForSite="true"

From that I assumed ok... it will use google for my SITE search.... so I enabled Site, disabled Web, and thought it would then use google to do a site:www.vinocellar.com search.  It used the DNN core search instead.   So then I enabled web and disabled site and it worked, though backwards from what was expected.

I'd think someone might want to use google for site search which only searches their domain, and also still use web search which searches everything.  This does not seem possible with the current setup.

This is all certainly going in the right direction (thanks core guys!) but it seems like a little more thought into the process could go a long way towards really making search awesome.

Which leads me again to my original question.  How might the google search results be brought up in a module within my site and not a new window, using the core functionality?

Thanks!

Thanks for being understanding :)

On a side note, we are going to get serious about rolling out a community Wiki soon so that great bits of documentation like the item  above can be collected somewhere centrally. This would be a great benefit to the community and would eliminate the need to click through to remote websites for simple anwsers...

Has the Wiki idea been shelved? I thought it was a terrific idea.
