When I tried to extract that file to my Bin folder, it asked if I wanted to replace the one that was there (I cancelled the extract).  So I don't think that is my problem.

I'm getting the same error, (object reference) on my site.  I have tried replacing the dll with an older one (like earlier posters I found the dll in the bin folder already) but still got the same error.

I'd really like to get the answer

I have found, after various attempts to use earlier versions of the dll that the problem lies in the latest version of the skin itself.  Replacing the .aspx and html versions of the vertical menu skins seems to have sorted the problem out - for me at least.

Hope this helps.

It looks like the issue might be (for me at least--I had this exact same problem) is that the TreeView control doesn't have a default setting for Level, and without it the control crashes.  So if you set the Level control attribute (for me, I set it to Level="Root"), it works just fine.

I am having this same problem.  I tried to create my own skin, and now I can't get the vertical menu to work, even on the original skins.  How exactly do you change the level ?

Thanks,

Mark Richards
