Hello Guys

I have recently upgraded two sites from DNN 4.4.1 to DNN 4.5.3.

Whilst I was and checking log files, I noticed a difference in the Admin dropdown menu links:

  • Site 1:   > Admin >>"Event Viewer" link,
  • Site 2:   > Admin >> "Log Viewer" link.

It has not made any difference to me what this link is called, but I am wondering if when I upgraded the site, perhaps not everything upgraded or FTP'd  ( I did not watch all files FTP) as it should and as a consequence, may cause site errors or conflict.

Also, on both sites when in 'Scheduler' >> Edit Mode >> Update, the page does not return to the main 'schedule' page, am I being too fussy or is that another possible upgrade error?

I know they are only minor things, which is not an issue with me, but just in case of a future major problem, how can I check that I have the fully upgraded the whole version?

Thank

Lynn

if both of your sites are on 4.5.3 and you have the different text for the Event Viewer, then yes, there was an issue with your file copy.

I would validate all files.

Hello Michael

Thanks for the reply, can you please explain the process I need to follow to ' validate all files'

Thanks

Lynn

Lynn,

What I do in these types of situations is to upload the install package to my site, folder by folder using my FTP program.

I can then validate that each folder was uploaded successfully.
