Hello friends,

I wanted to know whether and if it is possible to integrate the open source shopping cart oscommerce with dotnetnuke in the sense that they both can share common user database. Other things i would like to leave as it is. I will probably host the oscommerce site as a subdomain on my live site (the dnn one).  If anyone has ever come with such thought/problem, or any suggestions i would really appreciate it.

thanks.

Hi, I don't know the answer to this but I wanted to say that I am also running DNN and have OSC. They don't talk to each other yet.  I actually was looking to find a robust webstore product like OSC but for DNN.  OSC has a great deal of add ons but also some hard to install modules (requiring code change).  I was also looking for a POS (point of sale) system for OSC.  But now I'm wondering if I should just go to a webstore for DNN that might have a build in POS.  I have also thought about perhaps using XMOD or H20 forms to connect to the MySQL tables under OSC.  I'm sure that would work fine for read only information. Writing back could be the tricky part. Plus you'd have to know the underlying tables and linking for OSC.  Either way, DNN integration with OSC, to me, would be a interesting idea. I'm curious to see what anyone else has done or thought of.
