Hello,

I have this issue that I don't know how it happened. Specifically, if you go to this page http://site403.mysite4now.com/mecusa/Default.aspx  you will see at the top of the home page a tiny sliver of the control panel.   I tried to click the edit radio button but to no avail.    I am pretty much stumped on this issue because I don't know what I touched in the admin or host to make this happen.  Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Walter

Look for a module that has edit permissions set to "All Users".

If you really want them to edit, and you don't want the mode bar, you can remove it by following the steps in the link below:

Hide Mode: View / Edit Control bar unless user has edit permission to tab

The presence of the View / Edit bar indicates that there is at least one module on the page to which anonymous users have been granted "Edit" rights.   And that this is enabled in your site settings.  There a couple of switches under Site Settings --> Advanced / Usability that affect how this works:

Control Panel Mode: Affects the default (view or edit)

Control Panel Visibility: Affects the default (minimized or maximized)

Control Panel Security: Affects who sees the panel (page editors only or module editors also)

It is this last setting that I would look at, in addition to verifying the view/edit settings of the modules on the page.

Cheers

Thanks so much for the quick reply.  Your explanation is exactly what happened.  I edited the user permission and that corrected the problem.
