A while back I upgraded a site from DNN3.1.1 ot 4.5.0 and then 4.5.1.   I rarely ever use the file manager, but I noticed when I needed to adjust the security settings for some folders that it was not working for me.  More specifically, using IE7 it gives me a javascript error "dnn.controls.controls[...]selTreeNode' is null or not an object" if I try to select a subfolder beneath the portal folder (and fails to load the information for that folder).  If I choose to upload a file, it does a postback but nothing occurs.  I have checked to ensure that I am not missing an js or file manager related files, and I was wondering if anyone might have any insight to a potential source for my issues.  Thanks!

I don't recall any particular file manager issues fixed from 4.5.1 to 4.5.3, but I almost always suggest people try to upgrade when possible to resolve any issues that they are having.

Converted a version of the site on a development server to 4.5.3, and I am still having the exact same behavior.  I used the new release.config file and only copied over the conection strings and key code.  I can still adjust rights within the database, but I would like to resolved the issue so I don't have problems in the future.

Check the skin that was originally designed in an EARLY version of dnn 3.x

Early release of 3.x had some bugs

I have found that sometimes additional scripts or lines of code that were compatible for one version of DNN 3.x are not always compatible with big leaps in upgrade versions.

I fixed my problem with this in the past when i tried to go from 2.x and up.
