We have a DNN site setup and working. we trid moving to it's own website and added a TCP Port to the address (http://website1:8091)

I added the website1:8091 to the portalAlias table. It gets stuck when I try to view. It looks like it's constantly redirecting.

I can stop the default web and then assign port 80 to the website1 web and it works OK.

Is there an issue with using the TCP port number in the portalAlias table?

Thanks

you should be able to use the port no. the problem you encounter may be because a cache issue

Try this

First rename your web.config (such as web.config.bak) then run your web again. u should get an error message.

After that restore your web.config and run your apps. Your app should run without a problem
