Hi,

I've embedded a login module into a page in my installation, but when I click either "Login" or "Register", the form appears to post itself, but no action is taken.  I can login to DNN using the original login module that was created when I installed the system, but from nowhere else.

I'm running DNN 4.4.1.

Follow up:

I've upgraded to 4.5.3, and still the login does nothing.  I've checked the caching on the module after reading some more forum posts, and it's set to 0.  Is the Account Login module broken?

It seems that the login works when the control is called on a page with admin privileges, but when the page is accessible to everyone, it doesn't work.

Does it work if you use FireFox instead of IE?

If so, check to see if the system time on your server is wrong.

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply.  I've tried it with Firefox 2, and the issue remains the same.  When I submit the page to an administrive page, IIS returns a 302 response, sets a cookie called ".DOTNETNUKE" and forwards me to the requested page.

When I do it on the regular user page, I get a 200 response, and no cookie set.  The POST request looks pretty much the same, with the only difference being a return URL in the query string for the admin login (I guess because there's no explicit login module embedded).  I have the full headers if they might be helpful.
