Hi,

I'm struggling with configuring password policies for users in DNN. I have configured some rules using SqlMembershipProvider and DNN admin panel. However there are still a few rules that I can't set.

  1. Requirement for password to contain x number of letters and/or x number od digits
  2. Forcing users by default to change their password at first logon (I know that it could be forced by clicking option, but I want it to be default, so admin who will be adding new user do not have to remember about clicking that.)
  3. Lockout users (or deactivate them) after x number of days

Is this could be achieved by configuring DNN, or It will require code changes.

Appreciate pushing me in right direction.

1.) You can change the number of nonalphanumeric characters...I am not sure about the others
2.) This would require a code change, you could simply modify register.ascx.vb to set the changepassword value = 1
3.) I am not sure aobut this one either.  Are you looking for a set expiration date?  what exactly are you looking for with this.

Sorry I do not make myself clear. I'm looking for deactivating users which were inactive for given period of time. For instance in user did not logi in to the system for 30 day one must contact administrator to activate one's account again.
