restore the key from a backup.

Note, that the DotNetNuke installer might come up and change these keys, if the connection to your database is not present.

How did a hacker get to your web.config file? Where is your site hosted?

This is not haker. This is autoupgrade.

Change web.config: autoupgrade=false

Restore Web.config from backup, that is the only way to get the keys back.

I have never heard of a Web.config file getting hacked, unless the server is really, really, badly misconfigured, or it is an internal job at the server.

Also, if the key changed, how do you know that the password changed, it just would not work.  You have no way to know until the correct keys are back in place.
