Hi everyone,

We have just swapped domain addresses, but when i go to the new domain, for some reason there is a re-direct to the old domain address.

For examaple, when i type in www.newaddress.com it re-direct to www.oldaddress.com.

I have checked with the domain hosting people and there is no re-direct from their end.

Can someone tell me how if there is a way DNN contains a web address in the setup files that i need to change?

Also, when the site loads, it says "Webpage Unavailable" in a blue box. Is this a DNN msg or a hosting one?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

make sure, you added your new address as portal alias, either before the transfer intaeractively in hosts :: Portals menu item at the bottom of the portal settings page or directly in the database, table PortalAliases.

Thanks for your quick reply leupold. Just a few more questions, seeing i cant actually log into the site, as it says site unavailable, i guess i need to edit this directly in the database. Is this true and if so, what file is it located in?

Cheers.

try to call default, aspx?ctl=login to gain access to your portal (using the old domain). if this is not possible, open the database using a management tool (see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Blogs/tabid/825/EntryID/1202/Default.aspx) and edit the entry in table PortalAliases.
