I'm trying to upload some reasonably large PDF files but the upload keeps timing out. I am attempting to do this directly on the server.

Is there some way to override this timeout?

Alternatively, how do I manually upload the file? What record needs to be created where in the database to recognise that file?

I am using DNN version 04.04.01 and the standard file system if that's any help

Hi

In your web.config try changing your values to those shown below (taken from a 4.41 webconfig).

    <!-- allow large file uploads -->
<httpRuntime useFullyQualifiedRedirectUrl="true" maxRequestLength="51200" executionTimeout="600" requestLengthDiskThreshold="8192"/>
    <httpCookies httpOnlyCookies="true" requireSSL="false" domain="" />

This raises the file size and the time allowed to upload.

It may also be prudent to do a search on these forums as i am not an expert.
Easy way to do this is via Timo's search page
http://www.searchdotnetnuke.com/

Hope this helps

Ian
