Hi everybody,

Actually when I create a user on my portal, the default timezone is : UTC - 08.00

I leaving and working in Europe and then, I would like use my local timezone by default for my users.

How may I do that ?

I haven't verified that chaning the timezone at the portal level changes the 'default new user timezone', but here are a few sql script tidbits that can help in the mean time:

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

/* Script to see which users have which timezones */

SELECT

U.UserName,

UP

.PropertyValue

FROM

 Users U

JOIN

 

 UserProfile UP ON (U.UserID = UP.UserID) AND (UP.PropertyDefinitionID = 37)

/* Script that overrides all users' timezones with Eastern (-300) */

UPDATE

 UserProfile

SET

 PropertyValue = -300

WHERE

 PropertyDefinitionID = 37

Default time zone for new users is derived from portal time zone, specified in Admin :: Site Settings.
