I'm using DNN 4.5.3

On a site i've a standard logo with built-in  lint to http://domain_name.xxx/Default.aspx?base
In this site this link go to a strange page, how can i change it ?

I'm wondering what that is myself. Why would that parameter be added to the Url? What does it do besides mess up SEO?

I changed the core code to remove it.

I am also curious as to why this is in the code. Could one of the developers please shed some light on it? Thank you.

And if it is completely useless, with nothing depending on it, could the fix be pushed to 4.5.4?

I did some googling to try and find out what adding base to the end of the querystring would do and could not find an answer there either.

I'm eager to learn the importance of this.
