How do I setup my email for notifaction when a new user registers on my site, so I can review it and define roles for them?

PS: I happened upon Windows Authentication - Email Domain and found a "@localhost" entry for it.
should this field be blank now my
site is running upon a provider and not locally?

I did this but still do not get an email notifying me when a new user registers.
Perhaps I have not setup my admin email correctly?

I also wish to include a message to append to all admin emails. Where can I do this?
