I have been asked by users to "have a search the web funtion on the site" and "I just think that it would be great to have this as
our personal home pages and still be able to do a web search without browsing away from the site". Feedback has also been
that "
the current search function is not working".

I ran my own search with the default 4.4.1 search text box and it worked fine. I ran a second search and the first search
results keep appearing? I opened up a new window, refreshed cache etc and then the second search results appeared.
How do I ensure each new search will have it's results appear and not the origional search, without new windows, etc?

Also, is there any module to enable google for the site as the user above suggested? I will be upgrading the site to 4.5.4
when available. Perhaps something exists for that version.

Web search has been added to DotNetNuke since version 4.5.2.

I am not sure if the other issue is solved, check out with DotNetNuke 4.5.4, when it is available in a few days.
