I get  the following error when I go to the Admin » User Accounts page.

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.HtmlUtils.FormatEmail(String Email) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Users.UserAccounts.DisplayEmail(String Email) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

I've gone into both the User table and the aspnet_Membership tables and looked for the email columns.

The User table has a column called Email which has valid email addresses in all records.

The aspnet_Membership table has two columns, LoweredEmail & Email. Both of these have valid email addresses for all records in the table.

Any ideas about what might be causeing the error?

Thanks

John

We also have the same problem. After upgrading from DNN 2.1.2 to DNN 3.2.2 we are no longer able to add users. We get the "Error: User Accounts is currently unavailable".

Since my case was not an upgrade I'm not sure if this will help you at all but I've solved my problem by recopying some of the basic skins and containers back onto the site. It seems that my skins and containers got wonked somehow. Once I had the default directories in place with the basic skins and container files everything started working fine again.

I finally found the problem. DNN seems to require user data to be present both in the new asp.net member roles tables as well as in the old users table. We had a database trigger on the old users table that failed after the upgrade from DNN 2.1.2 to 3.2.2 and thus stopped DNN from adding new users to the old users table. After removing / fixing the trigger so we were able to add users to the users table then it all worked again.

Not! You will have to remove inconsistant users in the asp.net member ship tables since they do not have any matching user in the old users table. Then just register the new users again and it should work fine.
