I want to delete the right pane.  Anybody know how this is done?

Any non-space age  sources for DotNetNuke templates/skins?

take a look at the "DotNetNuke Skinning.pdf" doc in the documentation download, it explains how skins work. It's not that difficult, if you can create html webpages, you'll be able to create skins. To remove a pane, you'll either remove a table or div that's been marked up as runat=server (look for the name of you pane), or else remove a declartion such as [CONTENTPANE:2] from the html and the skin.xml.

The best way to learn is to remove sections, and reparse the skin to see the effects.

Theres some good free skins http://tf.johndcooper.com/ and http://www.xd.com.au/free+skins.xd
