Besides my DNN installtion, I am running a (written in classic ASP) custom email manager for a couple of newsletters. At the moment DNN and the Email manager are using their own user database. Is it possible authenticate against the DNN userdatabase from within the emailmanager.

I tried decrypt the stored password using ASPEncrypt / TripleDes, but could not found the correct decryptionkey. I tried all possible keys (in hex and character format) in the  web.config file, but none of them reveald my original non-encrypted password.

What is the easiest way to query the  user database, and check if some who's trying to login is a Administator.
