Hello

1 -When a user registers he has to use his email ID which should be unique - i mean 1 user cannot have the same email ID for more than 1 user name - but in my case it lets you register with the same email ID and diff user names - where and how do i fix this

2 - Forgot password - when i say forgot password - it asks me for username - I want it to ask for my email  ID - cause what if i have forgotten my user name too

3- lastly after i send my self the password it shows sent and in the log to - but i never get it

Thank you

1 & 2 - AFAIK these options are not built in, but as DotNetNuke uses the Microsoft ASP.Net 2.0 Membership component, check out its documentation on MSDN

3 - it might got stuck in spam folder, but also check out SMTP server settings in Host settings and make sure, that the admin user, specified in site settings, has a valid email address, to be used as sender.

Cheers from Germany,
