Run SQL:

DECLARE @PortalID int
SELECT @PortalID = 0
EXEC @RC = [dbo].[GetSearchResultModules] @PortalID

It's not just table Tabs involved.

I assumed that TABS is not "the" only tab to look at.....thanks for your script.

After fixing in the way, that RC has to be declared as well, i ran following:

DECLARE @RC Int
DECLARE @PortalID int
SELECT @PortalID = 0
EXEC @RC = [dbo].[GetSearchResultModules] @PortalID

and got as result:

TabID SearchTabName
167 Search Results

what i already knew, as this is the information out of TABS....

But this information is useless for me, as it does not bring me any further....

So either there is someting relevant missing in your script or....hm, well, or what?

OK, after investigating wherever something is in the tables regarding Search i found some cadavers in the table modules. Here were three modules, one of them marked as deleted, referred as SearchResult-module.

I deleted them, i checked whether there is an entry in tabs, no....ok, lets start over.

Newly created page "Search Result", view by Registered Users, one Search Result Module on it, and.....nope.

When typing anything in the search box in the upper right corner (no extra SearchInput Module!) it does not show the Result page, When this page is shown, then the results are coming up and are correct.

If this wouldn't be enough...when placing a SEARCH INPUT Module on a page of your choice, it's working like desired.

But why the hack does this page not come up when searching over the SearchInput in the upper right corner defined probably by the skin? By the way, i'm using the standard Skin coming with DNN.....just in case....

Hi All.

As i'm in the lucky situation that my DNN-Server is under my desk and i have a daily backup on tape i thought, ok, lets try it again.

I restored my old 4.5.3 files and DB, checked whether there are any cadavers in the DB regarding Search (no, nothing, everything fine), restarted the app and hey, Search is working. Ok, Computer, no lets make it harder...

Upgrade to 4.5.5, restart IIS at all, and guess what? Search is working. This damn thing is doing what it should!

Solution? 100%
Explanation? None.
