I long time ago i deleted the Search Result Page as the search itself did not bring the desired results (in fact it brought just nothing).

No i changed the skin a little bit (for cosmetic reason) and changed the storedprocedure getsearchresults (for having wildcards in search) and created again a page called "Search Results" with only one module on it, Search Results.

I checked the Trash (empty), restarted the app but following funny effect is still there.

When i am on the Search Result Page itself i can type in a search word and the correct results are coming up.

When i am on any other page and i try to search for a word, the app is working a little bit (progress bar on bottom of IE is growing) but....the page does not apear. The System just remains on the page where i was before.

Any hint? Thx....

It's getting stranger and stranger....

Even when i put the search-results module on any other page and delete the other one (including the page) the effect is the same.

Being on exactly this page, everythnig is working fine, being on another page, search seems to work but i cannot proof as the page with the search result module is not being displayed....let's name it "sub-optimal"

Well, i upgraded my site to 4.5.5 and hoped that my problem will go away. But it did not....

Only when i am on page Search Result i can see results when searching for a word.

When on another page the browser is waiting a little bit (growing bar on the bottom) and then...nothing happens. I'm still on that page.

A search function which does not display the results because the result page won't be shown is more or less useless....

I know that it worked a long time ago, it is working on my development machine with a pretty empty DNN, but not on my productive server....

Help please.

You should check your database to see if the old deleted search results page still exists.  Compare that result to your dev machine.  It is probably still there and you need to delete it completely or restore it to match the dev machine.

To clarify, my Dev-Enviroment has nothing in commom with my productive System. I use it only for developing my own or testing foreign modules before i deploy them to prod.

However, in the Table TABS on my prod System there is only one unique entry SEARCH RESULTS.

So, where could be the problem?

Thanks
