I needed to change the IP of the server that I run DNN on. I guess I should have logged on as host and added the new ip as a second alias to all portals before changing, but I didn't think of that.

Anyway, after the IP change and server reboot I couldn't access any DNN sites so I opened up SQL server management studio, opened the table PortalAlias and changed all my portal aliases from x.x.x.x to x.x.x.y (the new IP) and did a 'iisreset /noforce' from a DOS window. Sadly enough this doesn't seem to be enough to get it all to work as it used to. What have I missed ? Any suggestions on what to do/change ? Could a simple reboot fix this (like if an iisreset isnt enough to update all cached mappings or something?).

If I try to go to http://x.x.x.y/demo1 I only get the 'page cannot be found' error. It works if I try http://localhost/sites/demo1 but I can't have it like that.I need to be able to see the pages remotely from another computerbrowser, not just on localhost.

Please help me fix this issue.

the entry is stored in table portal alias only, are you sure, you corrected it in the active database?

The problem is solved, but I don't really know exactly what I did to fix it.   As it worked on the server using localhost/sitename but not with ip/sitename I guessed it had something to do with aliases and so I played around some with them (added/modified old) and suddenly I could see the sites using an ip in the url. It also works when using the ip from a remote computer, sofar so good.

The only thing weird right now is that if I use "localhost/portalname" everything is ok, but if I instead type "ip/portalname" (in a browser opened from the DNN server) the correct page displays but I do not have any menu's, I cant switch between languages, I cant show/hide the control panel and so on. If I try to browse the same page from a remote computer using the same url (ip/portalname) the menu and everything works as usual. This isn't a huge issue but I'm very curious why it behaves like this, any ideas ?
