Hi all,

i have a few Portals in my DNN Installation, and it`s working fine...

But in one Potal the search is broken, if i try to search something the search refers to my index page and not to the search results...

The Settings in the Search Input Settings are correctly (Search Results Module: Search Results).

Any ideas whats going wrong?

Search input settings applies to the Search Input Module and does not apply to the search skin object.  Unfortunately the search skin object is looking for the original search results page which is probably no longer exists on your website, but still exist in the database.  Run this on your portal to find out what other search results page are in your system:

DECLARE @PortalID int
SELECT @PortalID = 0
EXEC [dbo].[GetSearchResultModules] @PortalID

thanks for your reply.

Yes, there is a other modul. But it is deleted and also deleted in the Receycle bin.

Maybe i need to delete it in the database? If so, how will i do this?

Hey, this sounds similar to my problem, postet here.

Even when i delete the unique existing page SEARCH RESULT, and create it new, nothing changes.

The documentation i remember sais, that the search function is using the first SEARCH RESULT module it finds in the portal. So from my opinion it should not matter that the page is called SEARCH RESULT and where it is.

Or has it changed from 4.5.3 to 4.5.5?

However, i'm lost with that.
